Generation 3D inaugurated by HH Sheikh Hamdan as founding members of the STRATEGIC 3D PRINTING ALLIANCE
Generation 3D have been inaugurated as founding members of Dubai’s Strategic 3D printing Alliance. This is a partnership between local Dubai based companies, the Dubai Future foundation and public sector organizations “to produce a wide range of supplies, products and services in vital sectors in order to meet market needs and achieve self-sufficiency.” The Alliance was launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation, DFF . G3D were honored to help launch this at the signing ceremony on 6th May 2020.
As one of Dubai’s largest and longest standing 3D printing company, we were privileged to be selected as one of the key members of the industry. As a committee we will explore how we can make Dubai the world’s leading hub for 3D printing. It was a proud day for our founders Max Reynard and Dominic Wright, having been striving for excellence in the region for 6 years, to be recognized as pioneers of 3D printing in Dubai and the Middle East. Sheikh Hamdan extended a warm welcome to our founders at the ceremony as well as others in the 3D printing industry, explaining “We want Dubai to be a global reference for 3D printing technology worldwide in the coming years by strengthening public-private partnership”. An MOU between 6 local companies and 6 Public center entities was formalized at the launch.
For Generation 3D, we see this as a huge step forward in making Dubai a center of excellence for 3D printing in the coming years. Having the backing of our fantastic and forward thinking government for the years to come will allow us to innovate more quickly and overcome challenges with greater resource. A direct line to government institutions also allows us to adapt our 3D printing service specifically to the needs of the local market. . We truly believe at Generation 3D that the industry benefits from added cooperation. To truly achieve our vision we must continue to share and discuss innovations across the board.
Our team look forward to our continued cooperation with the RTA, Dubai Future Foundation, Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. I am sure the projects that come out of the Strategic Alliance will wow the world for years to come!
